Delete Your Account & Data

Last updated: 27 September 2026

This page explains how to request deletion of your PicAnchor account and personal data, what is deleted, what may be retained, and how long synced photos are kept. It applies to the PicAnchor mobile app and web dashboard published by Baturlabs.

1. The app and developer

This page applies to the PicAnchor mobile app and the PicAnchor web dashboard, published by Baturlabs (Baturlabs Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales). It describes how to request deletion of your account and the personal data associated with it.

2. How to request deletion

How you request deletion depends on how you use PicAnchor.

Admins (dashboard account)

An admin can delete the account in two ways:

Deleting an admin account deletes the whole company: the company itself, every worker on the team and their access, every photo uploaded by the team (including photos in Recently Deleted), the stored image files behind those photos, and the admin's login. It cannot be undone. Verification registry entries are not part of it (see the table below).

To remove a single worker instead, sign in to the web dashboard at picanchor.app, open Workers, and choose Delete from that worker's More actions menu. The worker is permanently removed, and photos they already uploaded stay with the company. The same menu offers Deactivate, which blocks the worker without removing them, and Reset device.

Workers (joined by name + code)

Workers do not have an email or password. Sign-in is anonymous, using the name and join code your company's admin registered for you. To request deletion of your worker record and personal data, either:

Choosing Leave the company in the app unlinks your phone from your worker record. Photos you already uploaded stay with the company, and your worker record stays until the admin deletes it.

Using the app without an account (local-only)

If you use PicAnchor without signing in as an admin or joining a company, your photos never leave your device: they are stored only locally and are never sent to our servers. To delete them, remove the photos from your device (gallery) or uninstall the app. There is no account to delete in this case.

One thing does still reach our servers, even with no account: each photo's verification entry, which is its digital fingerprint, its verification code, and the capture time. No photo, no location and no name is included. To have an entry removed, see Your rights in the Privacy Policy; the record then stops verifying and shows only as revoked.

3. What is deleted, what is kept, and retention

DataWhat happens
Your account & personal dataDeleted when the account is deleted, in the app or at your email request (for example an admin's login email). A worker's registered name and join code are deleted when the admin deletes the worker, or at your email request.
The company and all its photosDeleted when the admin account is deleted: every worker record, every photo uploaded by the team (including Recently Deleted) and the stored image files.
Photos already captured for a companyWhen a worker is deleted, the photos they already captured are retained under the company's records as proof-of-work, keeping only the worker's name as recorded at the time of capture. This matches our Privacy Policy. The company that controls the data can delete those photos from the dashboard at any time.
Local-only photosRemoved when you delete them from the device or uninstall the app.
Verification registry entriesNothing is deleted outright. Entries are retained indefinitely, because verification depends on the record lasting. On request an entry is revoked: it stops verifying and its details are no longer returned, but the fingerprint is kept as an empty placeholder so nobody else can register the same file later and claim an earlier date for it.

Automatic photo retention. How long a synced photo is kept online depends on the company's plan when the photo is uploaded: 1 year on Pro and Pro+, 30 days on Free. After that it is permanently removed from online storage. If a plan ends, photos uploaded during the plan are still kept for 1 year. New photos follow the Free limits: up to 100 stored online, kept for 30 days. If you upgrade, your Free photos are kept for 1 year too. Photos on the phones are not affected.

Recently Deleted. A company photo deleted by the company goes to Recently Deleted on the web dashboard, where an admin can restore it for 30 days. After 30 days it is permanently removed.

Because businesses that use PicAnchor control their team's documentation, some requests about worker data are directed to the employing company. For full detail on who controls which data and your rights, see the Privacy Policy.
