For inspections
Inspection photos anyone can check
PicAnchor is a camera app for inspectors. Every photo carries the time, a note and the inspector's name, plus the GPS location and address when the phone is online, and its code lets a client or site manager check it at verify.picanchor.com (opens in a new tab) without an account.
One camera for every job
Inspection
Inspections anyone can check
A note and a name on every defect
Scaffold tags, roofs and defects, recorded the same way by every inspector.

Checkable at verify.picanchor.com
Clients and site managers can scan the QR code in a report to check a photo.

What gets recorded
A note and a name on every defect
- 01
Time and place
The time and date are burned into the photo when it is taken. The GPS location and street address are burned in too when the phone is online.
- 02
A note on the finding
Free text such as "Scaffold tag check, east face", so the photo says what it shows.
- 03
The inspector
The inspector is named on the stamp, and on a team the company sets one format for everyone.
- 04
A code and a QR code
Every photo has a 16-character code. In a PDF report the same photo has a QR code beside it.
How it works
From the finding to the check
- 01
Shoot the finding
Point the camera at the tag, the roof or the defect. The stamp is on the screen before you shoot and burned in when you do.
- 02
Export the report
Pick the photos in the gallery and export a PDF. Each photo has its time, inspector and own QR code, and its address when it was taken online.
- 03
The reader checks
The client scans the QR code, or enters the photo code at verify.picanchor.com (opens in a new tab). No account is needed.
FAQ
Inspection questions
Can a client check an inspection photo?
Yes. They scan the QR code beside the photo in the report, or enter the photo's 16-character code at verify.picanchor.com (opens in a new tab). No account is needed.
What does a check show?
It shows that the photo code is in the registry, when the photo was registered and the capture time recorded. If the reader compares the file, it also shows whether the file is unchanged since it was registered. It does not show that what the photo depicts is true.
Can several inspectors use the same format?
Yes. On a team plan the admin sets one stamp format for every phone, and each photo carries its inspector's name.
What if the photo was sent through WhatsApp?
Apps that recompress images change the file, so it will not match the registered fingerprint even though the photo looks the same. Ask for the original sent as a document or file attachment.
Do inspectors need an account?
No. On a team the admin adds each inspector by name and they join with a 6-digit code. On your own, the camera and PDF reports need no account.
Can I write what I found on the photo?
Yes. The note is free text and is burned into the photo with the time, and with the place when the phone is online.
